MLFA Advises Students re Gaza Solidarity Encampments
April 29 2024
Christina A. Jump, the Civil Litigation Department Head for MLFA’s Legal Division, discusses MLFA’s representation of students across the country including Harvard University. MLFA has filed a complaint with the Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights, alleging violations of Title VI, which mandates a safe learning environment free from discrimination based on protected categories like race, religion, and national origin.
MLFA has been legally advising students pro bono on their rights during protests and peaceful demonstrations. While we can’t always make everything public, rest assured we’re working tirelessly with students nationwide to protect their First Amendment rights.
