MLFA’s Samira Elhosary elected to the National Association for Muslim Lawyers Board of Directors

Help us congratulate Samira Elhosary, one of our Civil Litigation Junior Staff Attorneys here at MLFA. She was recently elected for one of the two at-large Director positions on the National Association for Muslim Lawyers Board of Directors! MLFA is proud to have an attorney on the NAML Board of Directors and is positive that Samira will make the utmost positive impact.

This is what Samira had to say about her journey:

“The process was humbling, in December they sent out a few questions to answer about my experience and what my goals would be for NAML. I thought I would be a good candidate because of my experience at MLFA as well as my prior experiences leading student groups in law school. I would really like to see NAML become a resource to Muslim lawyers year-round and not only during the annual conference. After I submitted the materials, members of NAML who have paid their dues for 2024 were given the opportunity to vote on two of the three candidates.

I’m really grateful the NAML membership chose me for the position and for the opportunity to help grow the organization. I wanted to be an attorney to give back to my communities, so this is a great way for me to do that. NAML is a wonderful group of diverse attorneys in both background and practice area, and harnessing that diversity continues to be vital to solidifying the place of Muslims in American society.”

Your MLFA family congratulates and wished you luck Samira!
