“They Called Me A Lioness” by Ahed Tamini and Dena Takruri

Written by Ahed Tamimi, a Palestinian activist, and award-winning journalist, Dena Takruri, we will read “They Called Me A Lioness”, a tragic, yet incredibly brave, and hopeful first-hand account of the atrocities suffered by Palestinians.  

Tamimi, was jailed at age sixteen after a confrontation with Israeli soldiers. Her story illuminates the daily struggles of life under Israeli occupation in this moving, deeply personal memoir.
