Hana is a second-year student at Boston University School of Law, where she is an ASPIRE Scholar. She graduated magna cum laude from American University in 2020 with a BA in International Studies and a minor in Communications. After graduating from AU, Hana won the Fulbright Research Award to Amman, Jordan to research the impact of news media and international law on the migratory aspirations of Syrian refugees. Previously, she worked for Al Jazeera English as a member of the Emmy Award-winning Fault Lines documentary team as well as the English news production department. In her free time Hana likes to travel, read South Asian literature, and be an at-home barista.
