Basel Alhasan

Civil Litigation Junior Staff Attorney

Basel Alhasan is a highly experienced compliance associate with a strong background in corporate law and legal research. He began his career at KBS Holdings in Garland, TX as a Compliance Associate from May 2015 to June 2017. During this time, he honed his skills drafting internal contracts and company policy memos, managing property acquisitions, and overseeing the launch of a retail vehicle lot with an inventory exceeding $1 million.

After a brief stint as a Paralegal at Ghrist Law, Farmer’s Branch, TX, where he drafted legal notices and organized discovery documents, Basel returned to academia to pursue his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree at the University of Virginia School of Law. Here, he made significant contributions to the Virginia Journal of Law and Technology’s Editorial Board and was actively involved in Rivanna Investments, a student-run investment group.

Upon completing his J.D. in May 2020, Basel embarked on a series of internships and clerkships that further expanded his legal expertise. As an ACC Corporate Scholar at K12 Inc., he focused on corporate compliance, contract review, and document retention. Simultaneously, he served as a Legal Extern at the University of Virginia’s Office of the University Counsel, where he engaged in product service agreement reviews and university grievance procedures.

His tenure as a Law Clerk at Howarth & Smith in Los Angeles, CA saw him conducting in-depth legal research, drafting materials on landmark cases, and registering judgments in foreign jurisdictions. In August 2021, Basel returned to KBS Holdings, resuming his role as Compliance Associate.

Basel graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Texas at Dallas in May 2015. He was admitted to the Texas Bar in June 2023. His diverse experience and commitment to excellence make him a valuable asset in the field of law.
