Travel Concerns Related to the Global March to Gaza | KNOW WHAT TO DO

On your way to for the Global March to Gaza? Remember that United States laws do not control the actions of other governments or other governments’ officials outside the borders of the United States 

– Be aware that the U.S. Department of State advises against any travel to Israel or Gaza for U.S. citizens (click here)

– Egyptian officials have stated they will allow those with proper documentation to march, though as of Wednesday, June 11, many had been detained or deported upon arrival in Egypt (click here)

– The Rafah border crossing remains open on Egypt’s side, but Israel blocks it on the Gaza side 

– Israel makes it known that it reserves the right to refuse entry to any areas it controls, and  will refuse entry to anyone who publicly calls “for the boycott of Israel”; publicly, whether orally or in writing, denies “the Holocaust or the October 7, 2023” events; or publicly (orally or in writing) “supports the prosecution of Israeli citizens in a foreign country or in an international court for actions committed while they served in the IDF or in other Israeli security services” (click here)
