Islam Zebi

Immigration Department Paralegal

Islam Zebi joined MLFA’s legal department, CLCMA, in 2023 as an Immigration Paralegal. Islam earned a Paralegal Studies Associates Degree from Collin College. She started her paralegal career working at the Domestic Violence Legal Aid of Northern Texas assisting attorneys in representing families suffering from domestic violence. Islam then joined a very fast-paced Immigration and Family Law firm on the East Coast. She quickly learned the intricacies of immigration law, and was promoted to Senior Paralegal, managing a team of five paralegals. As a Senior Immigration Paralegal, she provided comprehensive case support to a diverse caseload. Although well-versed in many areas of immigration law, she specialized in assisting the attorneys with removal defense and deportation cases at the Executive Office for Immigration Review (“EOIR”), the appeal of removal cases filed at the Board of Immigration Appeals (“BIA”), and administrative filings at USCIS.
Islam’s passion as a Paralegal is to unite families by working on every immigration case with lots of care by treating every case like it is her own.
