Dr. Mirza is a licensed attorney in the state of California and shareholder at Mirza Law Group, PC specializing in labor and employment law. Dr. Mirza focuses on protecting the rights of individuals who have been discriminated and harassed in the workplace. Notably, Dr. Mirza was instrumental in defending the civil rights of a class of employees against a major US retailer who engaged in systemic, religious-based discrimination, negotiating a major victory for the employees. In addition to legally protecting employee rights, Dr. Mirza is an adjunct professor of Business and Law teaching core courses in Law, Management, and Organizational Leadership. Dr. Mirza has taught at a variety of universities across the U.S., such as California State University, The George Washington University, and Georgetown University, and currently serves on the faculty for the Ageno School of Business at Golden Gate University. Dr. Mirza also formally consults with several Fortune 100 companies and local nonprofits in various areas, including Labor and Employment Law, Risk Management, Organizational Leadership, and Leadership Development – acting as a 1:1 executive coach to several CEOs and C-Suite executives in Silicon Valley. Dr. Mirza holds a Bachelor of Science from California State University; Master of Science from Oxford University, England; Juris Doctor from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law; Master of Business Administration from The George Washington University; and a Doctorate in Public Policy from Northeastern University. Dr. Mirza was born in New York and lived there before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he currently resides with his family.
