Caroline Mann
Federal Criminal Defense Intern
Caroline Mann is an incoming 3L and Max Berger ‘71 Public Interest/Public Service Fellow at Columbia Law School. She is interested in public defense and post-conviction litigation, especially where this overlaps with issues related to racialized government surveillance and law enforcement misconduct, First Amendment questions, and disability justice.
Before law school, Caroline taught 12th-grade Writing in West Lawn, Chicago, before serving as a coach for new educators at a Chicago-area nonprofit. At CLS, she is the President of Columbia Law Students for Palestine, Vice President of CLS Public Defender Students, and an Articles Editor on the Columbia Law Review. She has a B.A. in English from Northeastern University and a Master’s in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education.
