Ali Boyd joins MLFA as a Staff Attorney in the Civil Litigation Department. Ali brings her experience of five years as a human rights attorney, based in Washington, D.C. Ali draws on her litigation and policy experience including her work at the U.S.-Mexico border, in Washington, D.C., and with The Hague, Netherlands. As a litigator, Ali has had the privilege of working in both domestic and international courts. Ali’s human rights career focuses on access to counsel, immigrant rights, and atrocity crime accountability through her work with the Fair Trials International, the El Paso Immigration Collaborative, Annunciation House, Las Americas Immigrant Advocacy Center, and UNHCR, the United Nations Refugee Agency.
Ali is a member of the Alumni Advisory Council of American University’s War Crimes Research Office and sits on the board of two migrant shelters at the U.S.-Mexico border, Border Servant Corps and Annunciation House. Ali Boyd holds a J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, and is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia.
