Aisha U-Kiu

Aisha joined the Muslim Legal Fund of America as an Attorney Consultant with their Nonprofit Department, and currently supports MLFA’s Training and Development. 

Aisha U-Kiu is a seasoned attorney, mediator, and social entrepreneur with a proven track record in leadership, talent acquisition, and legal consulting. As Vice President and Senior Talent Director at a Fortune 500 staffing agency, she leads the Dallas Contract recruitment team, specializing in placing highly skilled attorneys, paralegals, contract managers, legal secretaries, and administrative support professionals in law firms and corporate legal departments. Prior to her current role, Aisha served as Vice President and Practice Director, where she managed national and international project staffing and e-Discovery services for law firms, corporations, and government agencies.

 

Aisha has provided mission-driven strategy and direction to nonprofit organizations such as the Dallas Bar Association’s International Law Section (former Chair), the North Texas Islamic Council (former Vice President), and the Muslim Community Center for Human Services (former Vice Chair). Her passion for grassroots organizing and community mentoring led her to establish the Muslim Center for Dispute Resolution (Co-Founder & Chair), as well as the American Muslim Professionals of Dallas (Co-Founder). Earlier in her career, Aisha served as Director of Recruitment at a New York-based legal staffing firm, managing recruitment and placement for litigation and e-Discovery projects across Texas, Colorado, and California, and has worked as an attorney for the City of Irving.

Aisha holds a J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law, a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Studies from Southern Methodist University, and is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
