CLCMA Issues Advisory on Muslim Ban 2.0

“It is our freedoms that make America great, and it is our diversity that makes America strong.”

DALLAS – March 8, 2017 – Representatives from Muslim Legal Fund of America, a constitutional rights organization, are directing community members to the advisory prepared by Constitutional Law Center for Muslims in America, a nonprofit law firm funded by MLFA, in response to President Trump’s revised executive order restricting immigration from Muslim-majority nations. The advisory explains the new executive order and provides advice for international travelers.

“We continue to be troubled by this administration’s ongoing attempts to single out Muslims for adverse actions,” said Khalil Meek, executive director of MLFA. “Such blatant discrimination is a violation of our nation’s constitutional freedoms of speech, expression and religion.”

Meek said that if you believe you may be affected by this revised Muslim ban, please speak with an attorney or submit a request for legal assistance through the CLCMA website.

Muslim Legal Fund of America is a national nonprofit charity that funds projects to protect and defend constitutional rights in America.
