What is material support of terrorism and how is it proven?
18 U.S. Code § 2339B, part of the Antiterrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act (AEDPA), prohibits providing material support or resources to designated foreign terrorist organizations. Specifically, it criminalizes knowingly providing material support or resources, or attempting or conspiring to do so, to a foreign terrorist organization that has been designated by the Secretary of State.
