BREAKING NEWS: ICE released Ayman Soliman from custody, and USCIS Reinstated His Asylum Status

MLFA is excited to announce that Ayman Soliman, a beloved Children’s Hospital Chaplain living in Cincinnati, OH, who was wrongfully detained on July 9, 2025, has been released from ICE custody!!! Kathryn Brady and Franchel Daniel have been fearlessly lawyering on his behalf by attending multiple hearings, filing countless motions, and submitting hundreds of pages of evidence in immigration court, federal court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and USCIS.

But wait, the news just kept getting better and better today! Early this afternoon, the ICE prosecuting attorney in this case filed a motion in immigration court asking the immigration judge to dismiss his deportation case outright, stating he is no longer deportable or inadmissible because USCIS notifying Ayman rescinded its termination of his asylum status “after careful consideration.”

These are the miraculous results MLFA, along with co-counsel, grassroots advocates, and politicians, have been working to achieve and praying would happen for Ayman.  He can now return to the community he serves as an interfaith Imam who stood by him throughout this ordeal.

Please stay tuned for more details!!!
